There is no condemnation
In John 8, when the scribes and Pharisees brought the women caught in adultery to Jesus, his response was not to stone her as Moses’ law dictated, but rather to tell the men there, 7“He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” Predictably the crowd melted away, leaving Jesus alone with the woman. He then said to her, 11“Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”
God created Adam – saw he was alone. So he made Eve, taken from Adam’s side, to stand beside him and from under Adam’s arm so she could stand protected and safe. If women are loved, admired and cared for, they will respond and be the wife that the husbands desire. But in the Garden, Adam went off watchman duty; many men get so wrapped up and caught up in themselves and their egos, they go off watchmen duty and forget to care for and protect their families.
The caring role that God created for man has been corrupted by the enemy, into one of wanting to control and dominate. The responsive role that God made for Eve has been corrupted by the enemy into a role of coercion. Men, when we fail our roles, our wives will fail theirs. If a husband abandons his role, the wife is open to attack, the enemy moves in, cursing begins to operate, and the covering of blessings is stolen. Success in your role as head of your household means success is possible for your wife and children!
Ephesians. 5:22 “Wives submit unto your own husbands, as to the Lord.” As head of the household, this verse carries a tremendous responsibility; for one day we will all stand before God and give an account. We will be called to account for how we did, and didn’t, spend our time. If you, as head of the household, encourage your household in Godly pursuits, you would be fulfilling your duties. If not, be prepared for when the question comes, “Why didn’t you spend time reading my word and praying? My husband wouldn’t let me, (Eve spirit). Men, hold onto your role of Godly leadership and use it for good in your homes. Ensure you are leading your wives and family in the ways of God.
All those men in John 8:3 were ready to stone the woman! In a fit of rage, they were going to administer justice; after all they had the word of God on their side. She went away with no condemnation, not feeling guilty, not feeling put down, nor feeling not good enough. She went away feeling set free because she had an encounter with Jesus. Men, our wives should be able to leave our chat times feeling uplifted, free and invigorated; knowing they are loved and accepted, admired and respected.
If God has spoken to you in any of the areas in this message, take your prayers to the Lord and let Jesus free you to enjoy, and love life again.
