Your Prophetic Potential
Jeremiah. 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the Lord, “thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
God has wondrous plans for your future. He’s not so much concerned about your past but is deeply concerned about your future. If we can deal with the past, the enemy does not have ground to bring the feelings of failure and disillusionment upon us so easily. Deal with your past and give your future over to the Lord!
He will make these wondrous plans known to you; sometimes He interrupts our thoughts. The thoughts of God are like clouds dropping rain, come to release what is already in our soil. The potential is already inside, from before the foundation of the world, for such a time as this. Isaiah. 48:17 “…. I am the Lord who teaches you to profit; who leads you by the way should go.”
God has spoken over our lives, prophecies in dreams, visions, and through the Word.God speaks to us; God has wondrous plans for us. We need to have an expectation of divine ‘suddenlies’; divine surprises interrupting our lives. We need to be Spirit filled to equal Spirit fuelled. We are speaking about never giving up, and moving forward into the purpose and destiny that God has for us.
2 Kings 4:8-37. On his travels to Shunem, a woman had given Elisha the prophet, a room. She knew that something would come out of preparing a home for this man of God, yet when he asked if he could do something for her, she said, “I dwell among my own people.” She had a need, but she had no hope that she would ever bear a child. We have to let go of the past and move on so that Heaven can enact the plans, and blessings that it has for us.
Elisha saw the woman’s need and granted her wish for a child. The boy was born next year. He fell down with a headache some years later and died. His mother rushed to Elisha in faith that the man of God would restore her son’s life. Elisha prayed over her son and restored him to her.
Many of you are standing at the doorway of an exciting future, walking in God’s purposes.
God wants to impregnate you with the prophetic promises over your life from before you were born, plus all the ones that have come since. Many people have still-births in the things that God has promised over their lives because there is no hope and the past is robbing their future. Hold onto your faith as the woman in Kings did. Her son was dead, and she rode out to Elisha in faith that all would be well! Defeatism did not get to her soul. If anyone can help you break out of the past, into the future, God can!
It’s time to pick up the promises, pick up the words that have been spoken, pick up that God is your deliverer and pick up the plan, purpose and destiny that God has for you.
